Microsoft Teams is adding a payment feature to help users in their respective businesses.

Businesses will get paid through Microsoft Teams which will be a whole new dimension to their services. This video conferencing platform will help users to make payments during the meetings. According to Microsoft, they are working on eliminating lengthy processes to make payments, and in the future making payments will be just a click away. The company also mentioned that this feature will be more helpful for small businesses which moved online during the pandemic.

It will allow people in meetings to make actual payments. For this, they must contact a third party to provide payment services as Microsoft has not yet decided on the provider.

This service will be available for the businesses listed as “in development” in Canada and America for time being. The company has decided to release this feature in October 2022 which will be accessed by users who use Microsoft Teams on iOS, Android, Mac, Web, or Desktop.

This feature will give Microsoft Teams a competitive edge over its competitors. This feature seems to be the first such option to let customers make payments during the meeting. Zoom has set up paid entry specifically in case of webinars. They have integrated PayPal along with other payment methods. Google Meet has also linked its feature with PayPal but requires a third party to integrate to do the job. If Microsoft comes up with a system where companies can make payments during the meetings, then Microsoft is going to win over its competitors and capture the maximum SMB market.
